You’ll get the full story when you meet them in person, but the short of it is this...Danielle photographed Steph’s wedding back in 2015. They reconnected in 2017 and went from 0 to 5 babies (1 baby, then 2 sets of twins!) in 15 months. And since they’re clearly not busy, they decided to join forces and start Baby Kiddo: a portrait studio + community space for all families in their Fishtown, Philadelphia neighborhood.

Danielle Rivera, Founder + Creative Director

As a veteran wedding photographer, Danielle (she/her) is accustomed to the chaos of wrangling multiple people into several portraits within a very limited amount of time. As it turns out, that’s a key component for creating fun and authentic images that stand the test of time. Baby Kiddo marries her love of giving people permission to be their true selves in front of the camera and documenting real moments as they happen.

Steph Scheiner, Founder + Art Director

After five years of working in home furnishing wholesale and buying for Philadelphia-based brands, Peg and Awl and Urban Outfitters, Steph (she/her) knows what looks good. She used her skills to decorate a kid-friendly, stylish home for her family of five and has done the same for the photo studio. With Baby Kiddo, she’s realizing her dream of creating a beautifully styled space to capture families where they are in time.
